Welcome to Memory Door Psychotherapy.

This space is crafted to share who I am, why I do this work, and how we can walk together toward healing.

WHO IS CHRIS

I’m Chris Peressotti (he/him), a gay, cis-gendered, white settler living in Toronto (Tkaronto). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

Whether you decide to book a consult with me or someone else, congratulations on taking this step to focus on your mental health.

WHY I DO THIS

In my own journey, I spent years in corporate environments feeling anxious, resentful, and never “enough.” Through personal therapy, I gradually loosened the knot of self-doubt in my stomach and discovered my calling—to help others find that same relief. My goal is to provide compassionate and personalized psychotherapy that empowers individuals—particularly queer professionals—to navigate life’s challenges, embrace their full potential, and recognize they are already enough.

MY APPROACH

My primary modality is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. If you’ve ever caught yourself saying, “A part of me feels one way, but another part feels the opposite,” then you’re already speaking IFS’ language.

The goal is to help you accept each part of yourself, learn why it feels or thinks the way it does, and discover your innate capacity for resilience.

WHO I WORK WITH

I focus on supporting queer professionals in corporate environments. These roles often magnify the cycle of striving, succeeding (without feeling like a success), and burning out—especially for those who grew up believing they weren’t “enough.” Yet all are welcome here. I have meaningful experience with people identifying as poly, kinky, neurodivergent (e.g., autism, ADHD), trans, and many other intersections.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A Warm, Inclusive Space

  • Collaborative Exploration: We’ll work together in understanding emotions (e.g., anxiety, anger, grief), behaviours (e.g., perfectionism, procrastination), or life transitions.

  • Empowerment & Hope: I do that through empathy, insight, and an affirming stance.

LET’S CONNECT

If you feel drawn toward this inclusive and reflective style of therapy, I invite you to take the next step.

You can schedule a free consult to see if we’re a fit. I look forward to meeting you and walking with you as you find new confidence, clarity, and compassion in life.
